Craigslist ad selling what appears to be banned magazines
http://pueblo.craigslist.org/spo/4811214862.html

Is the seller just foolish ?

Perhaps he's not heard of the ban ?

...or is this 'bait' for a Trap or 'sting' operation ? Likely not by the cops, but maybe by a TV reporter ?

I'm also surprised the Craigslist Vigilantes have not Flagged it.

Kinda of seems 'too' obvious...doesn't it ?

His or her funeral. I would think that if it was a trap, the trapper would do it in a area like Denver and surrounding metro area.

This is the only place I know of that you can't find them for sale. FB gun groups, craiglist.. just about every pawn shop and gun show table is still selling them.

Its not a trap nor foolishness, its civil disobedience.

I understand the position on this type of civil disobedience by the management here and respectfully will say no more. :)

Cops said they won't enforce the laws. Maybe this guy took their advice and is telling the politicians to screw themselves.

+100 :P

All i am saying if you choose to practice your 2nd amendment rights, respect the venue/medium you are on. But yes, most gun owners simply say 'what law'

Go ahead and browse Armslist under their Magazine section and the Pueblo ad will lose some of the shock value...

I went into a local store last week that had a whole wall of standard capacity magazines for sale.

I personally prefer the PMAGS. I hear those HyCapMagz are shit.

I'd go with civil disobedience except for the person's handle. "HyCapMagz" really sounds like they're trying to push a "guns are bad" theme imo :P (Though it could be worse, could be "HyCapClipz" :P)

There are plenty of people that have posted here in the last year that appear to have no idea what the new law is so I'm not surprised that the general public has no clue as well..

It does not bother me that people are ignoring a law that should not have been passed. It is my choice if I do the same or not but I think when we jump up and down and point it out we are just adding legitimacy to a bogus law.

If you don't want to speed, that is fine but don't sit in the fast lane at 75...

If I had to guess, I'd say it's IDGaFF.

I'll comply with these stupid laws until they are repealed. I don't expect many other to do the same, since the chance of being arrested, much less prosecuted, is realistically zero.

I'm surprised people aren't just selling them as legal 10rd magazines for .458 socom. A legal 10 round .458 Socom magazine is identical to a 30 round banned 5.56 mag. Same follower, same spring, same housing. No shortage of high capacity USGI surplus mags in Colo Spgs for .458 Socom use.

FWIW: 20 round AR mags are also used as 12-15 round 7.62 X 39 one. It's what they use to sell or promote, back in 93-94? for the early 7.62 x 39 AR uppers. Oly arms sent me 1 of the AR magwell / curved mags and a 20 rd Universal.
During the ban years 40 S&W's were used to stuff 12 rounds of 9mm, with a little feed leap adjusting.

Damn Newbies,
If everyone keeps pointing that out, some libitards will catch on and us 458 SOCOM shooters will be stuck with 3 round mags ! So hush !!!

And an FYI, PMags need modification to be used with the 458, so much so that they no longer function with 5.56. And so do some USGI mags.

If the president ever figures out that the tube magazine on a Mossberg 500 will hold 1700 22 short cartridges, we're going to be in for some real gun control!

I guess you'd have to buy the 10 round 458 mag "rebuild kits" as well? hahah

I found Lancers work best right out of the box with the .458 SOCOM

If I needed any more 30-rd Pmags, I have family and friends in OK and TX, and the US Mail delivers Priority Flat Rate boxes from those states.

Just sayin'.....

It's not hard to find individuals as well as stores selling products that may or may not raise the eyebrows of some folks.

Pointing it out, repeatedly, on internet forums serves to help gun owners how, exactly?

Oh, you want to anti-gun folks to shut down these operations because of your hall monitor with CCW-badge status. Now I get it [facepalm]

I don't know why this thread is still here ... the official position of the forum administration is that the law is the law and that "civil disobedience" that violates the law will not be tolerated or encouraged here.
