I hope the police officer was cited for failure to yield to an emergency vehicle. [Coffee]

Nice! Police cruiser would be at fault IMO.

EDIT: Now if this accident occurred in Detroit, it would all make sense. :p

If the police cruiser hadnt seen the service station with the "DISCOUNT DONUT SPARES" then this accident wouldnt have happened.

Tax payers are stuck with the bills to fix BOTH of the government vehicles.

"According to the accident report, Engine 22 was approaching the cruiser from behind with its emergency lights activated. The cruiser turned right onto Carter Boulevard, then pulled directly in front of the fire engine, resulting in a collision.

Barnes said he thought the fire truck was going to turn left onto Carter Boulevard, so he made a half U-turn to block off 16th Street and follow the truck east."

A. I have already commented on the bad grammar of the "press".

B. IMO: FF's have the biggest balls next to our SOF community.

A little bit of a derail. I use to work out at gym in Philly that was almost all cops and firefighters. They seem to hate eachother and the no one was small. One day a FF decided to give a cop crap about a charge he had hanging over his head about some sex thing. They went out into the parking lot and beat the hell out of eachother. The FF actually took it to him. Funny thing was, no one was called....right there in the middle of a mall parking lot. I loved that gym.

It's been that way for a long time.

Who was going to get called? Who was going to respond?

Many jurisdictions allow for mutual combat. No one presses charges. No one gets arrested. At some point, everyone sort of knows when the fight is over.
