Just saying.
DENVER - Anyone who has ever desired a side of cat with their coffee can now rejoice as Denver's first cat cafe has opened its door.
Located at 3929 Tennyson St., Denver Cat Company offers its patrons companionship and its cats a chance to find a forever home.
Resident cats are from the Rocky Mountain Feline Rescue. They work with the cafe to ensure the animals are not too stressed in the social environment. Visitors are also asked to practice proper "cattiquette" inside.

Hell, I like cats, and not so sure I'd be down to drink coffee in a roomful of them. Not like I go to Denver much anyway, FWIW.

^This. No animals on food surfaces until skinned and then only if they are to be packaged or cooked immediately. Unless they want to learn to fly.

I can see that. I have cats and dogs and don't like when they are on the counters either. Hell, the dog doesn't even have to be in the room in order to get hair into food.

And I wanna see this .30-06 video! I touched off a .38 in a van once (actually, Jack Daniels did it), and I knew a guy once whose .50 Hawken went off in the gun rack behind his head while bouncing down a dirt road. I can't even imagine an '06 going off in a vehicle, you'd be deafened forever!

It's an excellent concept, and it seems to be working on the adoption front.
Animals behave differently in a more relaxed and interesting environment than they do in a cage.
They ought to do this with all animals put up for adoption- I bet they'd find homes a lot more quickly, and make the transition easier.

DENVER – A customer is suing the Denver Cat Company after she says a cat bit her hand, and the bite got infected.
Amanda Jamrogiewicz filed the lawsuit on behalf of her mother, Sue Hodges. The two claim they visited the cat cafe back in February and a cat named "Morpheus" bit Hodges.
"[Morpheus] flipped onto his back when my mom still had her hand out," Jamrogiewicz told 9NEWS. "When she was going down to continue petting him, he bit her on her hand rather aggressively and wouldn't let go for at least 15-20 seconds."
"When she finally got her hand away it was bleeding in about 7 or 8 different spots," she said.
Jamrogiewicz said her mother was treated for the bite at the counter. But after she got home, she realized it was infected.
She went to an urgent care clinic for treatment and was charged $305. She asked the café to pay the medical bill, but the owner, Sana Hamelin, wouldn't agree to it.

I think that's an even worse idea. My dog is friendly with all people, and likes to play with any dog she meets. But all it takes is one dog getting ancy about not being able to roam around and meet all the other dogs when the owner walks up to order. That dog barks out of anticipation, another dog takes it as a threatening bark, and returns in kind. Dog C makes an aggressive gesture in the commotion, and now you've got good dogs fighting in close quarters.
