Pikes Peak Shotgun Challenge 2015

In addition to the general rules update, we are also implementing an ammunition rule for 2015: Ammo is limited to 2.75" shells only. #6 or smaller lead shot only and 1300fps velocity limit or 3.25dram equivilant as printed on the box. This is to preserve the steel targets, many of which will be borrowed for this match.


Match entry is first come first serve by date received. I hope you all can make it again this year.

Colorado shooters, I heard from Mike that after the application being up for about 10 days, the match is half full. While we don't mind non-CO people shooting the match at all, we run these matches to help grow the sport in Colorado. If you shoot 3Gun, Sporting Clays, Trap, Skeet or just love shotgun, this is THE match for you. There is not another all-shotgun challenge match within 12 hours of Colorado, so do not delay.

Team Carbon Arms will be running free Pro Clinics on Friday afternoon. We will also have some loaner gear available for Pump and Auto.

This coming Sat 2/21 we restart the local Shotgun Series match, at Pikes Peak Gun Club. Same details as last year. 5 stages, about 90 bird shot and 5 or so slugs. Open, Auto and Pump divisions. $20, you can pay with cash at the berms or you can pay with your credit card up at the club house. The club house is stocked with birdshot, so you can buy some there if you need, they do not carry slugs though, so don't forget to bring some with you. If you are there, boots on the ground and helping by 8:00am, you shoot for half price. Expect a wide range of target types, both static and moving as well as thrown birds.
