View Full Version : New, just got in town from Tucson
Hello everybody
My wife and I just moved to Denver from Tucson. So far so good, you all have one beautiful bit of land around here. Finally settled and excited to get back to shooting, nice to meet you all and happy to be here. Thanks for the great and useful site.

Welcome. Every day I take a moment to look at the mountains and enjoy the view. I've lived all over the country for some amount of time, and even overseas. I can't imagine living anywhere besides Colorado ever again.
This year we have plenty of rain fall so the land is green. Welcome.
I'm a Arizona transplant as well, Phoenix, and couldnt even imagine going back, apart from some of the desert scenery.
Welcome aboard. [Beer]
Like AZ it's dry here (most of the time) it just won't melt your face off! [Tooth]
Thats funny because when I moved back to CO from Ft. Lewis Wa, I thought it looked like AZ!
just took a trip through Rocky Mountain National Park, I have to admit, I feel kinda guilty that I have spent so many years defending the mountains around Tucson to all my friends in Colorado. I have a feeling it may take some work to get me back. Maybe some Mexican food will draw me in a year or so, but frankly, the beer alone is worth spending some time here.

You'll need to go back up there around mid-September. Estes Park and RMNP get a little crowded around that time, but the elk bulls are bugling and you can typically see LOTS of elk roaming around. Just be sure to take a camera with plenty of storage for digitals or film for tradition cameras.
