I have an E Arthur Brown pictured below that is chambered in 6.5 BRM. It is a sweet little shooter but prefer to have it rechambered in 260 Rem. It has a falling block action and based on load data for the 6.5 BRM and 260 Rem, they are very similar and doubt chamber pressure will be an issue. Ballistics are very similar but just prefer consolidating calibers. 260 Rem is not a caliber that the manufacture offers, so rebarreling isn't an option.
So are there any other considerations I should take in to account? Is it as simple as having a qualified smith recut the chamber for 260 Rem and headspace?

I'll get an e-mail off to Bert to see if this is something he does plus I know TJ's does this type of work.

You can check with Hammer Down Firearms. I just checked with them with a similar question.

Depends on 2 things . First will the new chamber remove all the old one , the reamer blueprints will tell you that , if not the barrel will need set back . Second is there enough straight section in the barrel contour for the longer chamber , if not your SOL and will need a new barrel .
Also you want to check that the action can withstand the chamber pressure . Off the top of my head 260 is 58K ish but I've got no idea on the BRM.

That is where this ended up. Gunsmith checked with E.A. Brown, who stated that they don't chamber the 260 Rem for this rifle and the action wasn't appropriate for that caliber. Ironically they chamber this rifle for the 6.8 SPC at 55k lbs SAAMI spec, although SAAMI spec for the 260 Rem is 60K lbs.
