Yep, that is the official number for Monday's wind in Ned. Can't think of a better way to describe it than this video.

Forest fires are scary as hell.
Floods suck, but are supposed to be rare even though I've gone through two of them and I'm at the top of a mountain.
Blizzards are a major inconvenience.
Having your well run dry from a drought is costly and disrupts your life in every way.

But the WIND..... Jesus! It doesn't stop all winter long. I lost 7 trees last year, and 2 this year already. I have shingles rated for 127mph winds, and they are getting ripped in half regularly. We totaled a brand new car with less than 4k miles on it last year from WIND damage. The wind is just relentless. Can't leave a window cracked at night because it sounds like you are pulling the release valve on an air compressor all night long.

I guess the positive is...anything you need sandblasted, just leave it in my driveway for a week, and it will be done.

.... not a rant, just the facts.

@Crashdown. You're not kidding. A lot of weather up here but I just cringe at the wind. People are on edge. Every noise, at the house, and I'm looking to see what is getting ready to land on the roof. When it gets over 50mph and the "right" direction, it sounds like a freight train next to the house.

150mph is still the most I've seen. In some states that is a tornado.

I'd expect Sturving will be up in this area in a couple of weeks.

We had so many freeze losses since New Years that they shipped other people in like it was a CAT.

Yes actually. There is one position open at the Denver office and they're asking for recommendations. Send me a PM.
