Any thoughts? Not sure what to think of the stock yet, but I like the idea of another source for AICS mags. Those suckers are not cheap.

From the facebook page:

Lots of questions about the 700 products, so we'll give you a little more to go on...
- Hunter 700, $259.95 MSRP has an anodized aluminum bedding block, uses SGA cheek riser and LOP spacers, has M-LOK slots, has dimples to add swivel studs and places to add our QD sockets, weighs 2.9 lbs, and works with factory Rem bottom metal as packaged, or....
- Remove a spacer (30 seconds) and insert our hybrid steel and polymer Bolt Action Magazine Well (MSRP $69.95, includes one magazine) to use AICS compatible magazines, speaking of which...
- The PMAG5 7.62 AC is an AICS compatible polymer magazine with anti-tilt follower, MSRP $34.95. The magazine holds five rounds as packaged to comply with hunting regulations, but if you clip the follower stop on a pre-scored line, it becomes a 6-round magazine, useful in competitive shooting disciplines or just for an extra round.

This is just Monday...lots more to come.

I'm not overly excited about the stock but I'm sure it's a decent product and well made and they will probably sell a crap ton of them at that price point. They might even find their way onto some Remington rifles from the factory. Maybe to take the place of those crappy Hogue stocks.

The AICS style magazines could possibly interest me if I can make up my mind about a precision rifle platform. Although, I would probably be more interested in the ten round mags versus the five rounders.

I'm not a MagPul fanboy, but this product really caught my eye; to have a DBM'd mini-chassis for under $400 is pretty exciting. I'd really like to know how much room is available in the recoil lug area. The video shows what looks to be a stock R700 in one of their stocks. I think that's the intent of this product.

The modularity really gets me: Add what you want, not what you don't, go nuts, stay plain-jane, whatever.

If anything, I'll buy one just to have one and review it. Hopefully they'll make a long action version as well.

You're avatar begs to differ.

I like the stock. Hopefully it does well and they start making them for other brands as well.

false, it shows I'm lazy. The forum did a 'show support to MagPul' when the hi-cap mag laws were being considered.

hopefully your insurance is the same as the one in your avatar....

...and a new 60round PMAG drum for your AR. Good thing we live in Colorado and won't have to worry about these pesky things.
