Nothing beats pretty wood furniture on an AK.

But there's a market here, good for them. I still have a pile of stain and stuff sitting around for that day I finally get around to staining and sanding the crappy WASR furniture on my last AK build. There's something to be said for easy bolt-on stuff that doesn't look like it came out of a high school shop class.

The ad wasn't bad either. Nicely subdued.

The thing I like about polymer furniture on my AKs is they wash up real nice with soap and water. Just the thing for quick clean up after shooting surplus corrosive ammo [Flower]

Magpul, Tapco, I can't remember what I put on this AK. It works for the few times it comes out of the safe, though. The Magpul forearm is gone from the AR, though. My favorite on the AK is the one that has the original Romy stuff on it, except that I cut off the lame foreward pistol grip and recontoured the forearm. The Romy buttstock is the short Eastern European one. How small are those people, anyway?

I have the Magpul AK pistol grip and like its size and feel over the traditional eastern bloc pattern. The Magpul AK handguard looks like their shotgun line, so its a familiar look but interesting on the AK. I'd like their triangle fixed stock to be made into folder. I bet the stocks will be expensive.

All these new profitable products. I wonder if Colorado is having any second thoughts about forcing Magpul's relocation.

i'll stick with my east german wire folding stocks, german bakelite and pvc hand guards and steel/bakelite mags but to each their own

I have the Zhukov handguard and like it. It does add a bit of weight to the rifle though. I like the extra real estate to get my support hand farther out and it covers a lot more of the hot parts out front so I'm less likely to accidentally burn myself.

I don't care for the stock. Looks clunky and folds to the wrong side if you ask me. Also, I don't care for the folding/locking mechanism being plastic. One of the first tests I saw on YouTube they actually broke one off. Of course they did run over it with some sort of vehicle.

I have a set on a WASR and actually really like it, i agree with Ray about having the extra lenght on the forarm. I also like the folding style one mine too. I will post another pic tomorrow of the way i have mine set up.

Thanks for the info! I've got a ban era WASR10 that I'd like to something similar to. It's either Zhukov stuff or a folder block to go between the trunnion and my ACE stock.

Here's the video where they broke the stock. Kind of an extreme circumstance though. Other than that it looks like it is pretty solid. I just don't like that it folds to the right side of the rifle. Makes it difficult to easily operate the charging handle and pretty much impossible to operate the safety.

I put the Magpul furniture on my AK 74 and I like it, it's a big improvement from GI. Worth the bucks for most, I think.
