Impact just 10 years ago? I don't know everything but it seems to me that even 10 years ago, someone would have noticed something like a house sized impact on the planet. Where is Mulder when you need him?

Am I the only one thinking "so what"? Ok, so a meteor hit the ice 10 years ago and American, Canadian and Australian researches could have already told you that at the time it happened....is it supposed to be a new element or be made of gold?
