Am looking at getting a rail system on my current build AR, its kinda going to be a .223 SASS and was looking at getting either a 13.2" larue rail set up or a Troy MRF 13.8" am kinda leaning towards the Troy because of the price, has anyone used them? are the great or just ok? and I got to pick up a low pro gas block

P.S. is going on a 20" barrrel

I prefer DD, but if you talk abt LaRue vs Troy - I think LaRue wins.

Don't be fooled Troy's are well made, and well designed. I have it on my rifle and In rifle Competitions, I've bash that thing into mid walls, through window ports and etc and there's no damage to them. I think the one thing they have againts them is if you compare them to LaRue's is the weight, they're fair bit heavier.

But thats IMO.

Troys are pretty good but LaRues *are* that much better. And Mark LaRue heavily supports the shooting sports.

Go with the 13.2 handguard. I have them on my 16 inch LaRue Stealth upper and 18 inch JP Upper.

Yup I'll add another vote for LaRue based on those two choices.

LaRue between the two! Midwest Industries or YHM > troy, if you are so concern about prices.

I guess we arent using the 'upper' sub-forum anymore? [Coffee]
