View Full Version : H&K Mags
So I've been through 4 or 5 of these things now and every single one of them has CONSISTENTLY double fed. I keep 2 on my range kit now to practice with, but will never run them where it counts. I was just wondering if anyone else has much experience with them-maybe I just had bad luck and got the only 5 shitty mags HK ever made. Add to that the fact that they're super heavy, and I just don't see why anyone would use these things.
Input?

It's probably a your-specific-rifle/HK mag interface problem. I've never had problems with them.

I have this problem too, Never dropped them/beat on them. I never wanted to say anything because 1. they are H&K 2. I paid a ton for them. For some reason they choke ever harder with my reloads. But my cheap brownells mags work great and I really kick myself for buying these H&K mags when I could of had 3 times the mags if I got the pmags. I remember I got them before or just after the pmags came out.

Had the problem in 2 different M4's with DD uppers.

That's why I bring it up. I know people pay a lot for these things and HK is usually known for high quality so...what's the deal?

I like to keep them on my range kit to practice working double feeds. Let's just say I've had a lot of practice.

If it's the hk sa80 metal mags you're discussing then I have 4 with no problem, ever. Bad batch maybe?
I haven't had any problems with my G3 mags but the steel ones ARE heavy. However, that's probably not the ones you are talking about.
