Not scalper/gunshow pricing, talking normal retail. Just wondering if Federal is still cranking this out and I'm just not seeing it / hearing about it or if they're just working on the smaller automatch boxes, etc. at this point?

I have heard tell of this federal bulk pack of which you speak.... though I have never seen the creature in the wild myself.

I guess it has to be some where if the scalpers are getting it, but I sure as hell am not lucky enough to get my hands on any.

I picked up two of the 550's at the Tower/I-70 wally in Oct or early Nov. They had 3 on the shelf, but I figured I would leave one for someone else.
Have been seeing the Automatch regularly. Got 2 at Big R in Limon on black Friday for pre-panic pricing. Lucked out on that one.

Yeah, I haven't been able to find anything in a while for .22lr... I have a shoot coming up in March and am getting a little nervous, lol.

Never mind. Search in tapatalk was easier/better that I expected.

4 weeks ago . Grabbed a few and some 22 shorts. If you're not set on the bulk packs, SW has been consistent for Aquila (spck) both plated and lead 40gr.

That's actually good news. At least they're still packaging and delivering it to retail. I haven't seen any available retail for quite a while. As you mentioned, other packaging like automatch though has been out there. I had just wondered if they were focusing on the smaller packages for a while or something.

There's 22 all over the place - just that the places that have it are pricing it double what wally does, so I'm sure neckbearding is still in full force for bulk packs.

Magnum Shooting Center had a couple pallets of CCI minimag at $46/500 or something like that. The official price of the federal 550 bulk packs, when they're in stock at wally, is $23.97.

As a dealer, I can't even get a distributor to quote me below 7 cents a round even if I offer to buy a pallet, which would make my (dealer) cost $38.50 on that same carton before freight.

Yep, exactly!

I'm actually sitting ok for my stock of personal 22lr since I bought deep back when it was less-rare, and I've bought here and there where I've seen decent deals over the last year or two. But my "problem" is that it's starting to become more mix-or-match. Where it used to be a bunch of ammo cans full of federal bulk pack and a few subsonics, now there are 10 different brands and a variety of different packages, which is a pain at the range since I want to keep track of what I'm shooting.

Just wondering when my favorite packs were going to start showing back up again. I also gave up on ordering anything from a distributor - I just watch walmart and the occasional Bass Pro/Cabelas, etc. like everybody else.

The Reloading Zone in Arvada had some today when I was there. Don't know the price but Mike the owner is a good guy and pricing is fair.
