Saw this the other day, think it was on SOFREP or something.
MRDS-sized thermal sight is a better way to describe it, rather than thermal red dot. The catch is that they don't have much of a range.

Its an interesting concept, T10. http://tplogic.com/products/commercial/thermal-imaging-comm/t10-commercial/

It needs more resolution to be useful. They launched it with what I believe is the same core resolution as a FlirOne. So anything beyond across the room distance is just a blob. Detection (Just a small thermal dot) of people to say 50-75 yards.

The marketing material I saw from Shot said a followup core would be available with higher resolution.

Depending on application, I could see light discipline being an issue with this at night given the red dot type mounts shown in the product advertising materials.

At first blush, it looks like a cool tool, but there are obvious issues (stated above).

Just an electronic version of fuzzy dice ? [Coffee]

I feel like it could be quite fun when combined with a 22 pistol, 22 shot shells, and a rat problem in an old barn. [UZI]

It would need to cost a lot less for that.
