That Ruger had a 30rd mag. That pistol has more than 10 rounds, and a threaded barrel. These events cannot happen in California.

The Ruger didn't have a flash hider, pistol grip or collapsible stock, so it must be safe.
20 "mass shootings" per year in the United States?
I'm curious about the source of that statistic. I try to keep up on current events but I just don't there are that many in a year.
Am I wrong?

There is no official criteria on a definition of a mass shooting but I believe the FBI itself classifies a mass shooting as being an incident where there are 3 or more deaths. 20 per year isn't a big number.. less than .5 per state per year.
Some reading on active shooters:

Chuck, thank you for sharing that.
I've received AS training before but every presentation offers more info to give a better chance to survive such a scenario.
I shared the video on my Facebook page. As I said there, while a CCW helps, the best tools for surviving an Active Shooter event will be knowledge and preparation.

Chicago on the weekends maybe?....
Good stuff. It says a shooting of more than 4 people happens on average, every 2.9 months. Then they say there is 20 mass shootings per year. Seems there are two different guidelines of mass shootings. Either way, good video. Shows how quick things can change and why you always sit facing the entrance.
Step 1. Have a gun you're proficient with and make swift & decisive action against said shooter.
Step 2. The end
Although I will be the first one to admit that over the years my stance on saving everybody has changed thanks to litigation and the greedy. If I can get me and mine out, I will do that first and foremost. Sorry for the unarmed victims but I subjecting me and mine to life-changing court battles or hate afterwards if I have another option also isn't worth it. I'd love for this to be land of the free and home of the brave but the majority no longer sees things the same way so I'm forced to evolve to my surroundings. It's too bad because in times like this we need more good guys carrying guns willing to use them against the bad guys as that's the only language they understand.

Not guidlines but numbers. Active Shootings are 20 a year but Active Shootings with 4 or more death happen every 2.9 months.
I thought I was supposed to throw a can of green beans at them?
Also, fuck that shit - respond how you were taught. Charge the fight (intelligently) and cause as much misery as you can.
Good video considering the state it's from. LA especially doesn't have a lot of options for good citizens.
My criticism comes from somewhere else, though. If you're making a serious video don't put a Wilhelm Scream in it.
