Saw that video when it dropped. So many things come to mind with the lyrics, Blaire White being in it and the siren used being from The Purge movies. His songs Fake Woke, Straight White Male and Dear Slim are really good as well. Even if you're not a fan of rap music, you should give his stuff a listen.

If anyone hasn't been out to Bandimere, this is Bandimere.

I used to go with my gas station friends, and run a bored Kawasaki 900 looking for 9s.

It's kind of magical, to see a car that you know the owner has put his every heart and effort in.... loud as heck, his every dream, on the track.

I still have my first place trophy, on my Honda CB360T, doing like 79 mph at the gate. LOL

I really hate the whole "analogy" to the corvette doing 200mph. I hear this shit parrotted frequently.

It's a lot closer than most would initially think, but the Dragster does NOT win.

Current Top Fuel Dragster record is 3.659 seconds to the 1000' mark. NHRA

Anything traveling 200mph is covering 293.333 feet per second.

293.333fph * 3.659s = 1073.305'

Now, does that negate what Flogger said about Top Fuel power? Nope. It's still awesome.

It's also crazy standing in one of the pits watching the tear down and rebuild between runs.

I went to Bandimere about 20 years ago for my first top fuel experience, an excavator friend (and drag bike freak) kept talking about it. He said you could get right down to the fence and watch the top fuelers take off.

He also mentioned to wear boxer shorts at the fence so you can spread your legs a little "....and your balls just rattle!"

I never tried that but its an experience you will never forget and the pits are well worth the time/price.

Agreed. I also said the same when the Keystone Pipeline protestors were all over the news. If you took the tents and other products made from O&G out of the picture, wouldn't have been much there but people in the cold and wet shivering and whining about how evil O&G are.

Just watched it again, how the hell to you control that kind of erosion? Fires over the last several years in the area helped cause this slough but now what?

Walls, rock stabilization (that always works), dams, culverts and Erosion matting? It will not be a cheap fix!

P.S. If this slide had damaged the rail system, the UP would have had it fixed, up and running this morning.

This is pretty cool, NASA is hitting an asteroid with a spaceship going 14,400MPH to see if we can change its trajectory (for Earth defense purposes). At one point (~2:28:47), you can hear someone in Mission Control say that their estimated miss distance is 17m, pretty dang impressive at that distance and speed if you ask me! Then the shots immediately before the loss of signal are very amazing.

For background, Magnus is one of the best rock climbers on the planet. Not a hardcore mountaineer or ultra-runner type of guy. Lean and mean, not an aerobic animal. Collision on the open seas when a Chinese Coast Guard Ship was harassing a Philippine Coast Guard Ship. This happened just the other day. Not a good ending.

The Philippine Skipper ended up asking the Chinese if they needed any medical aid. Keep an eye out about 1/3 way through.
