I still brew with an auto drip at home, but we recently got a Keurig at work. This is my first time using a Keurig so I bought an 18 pack of Green Mtn k cups at Wally world for $11. I thought I could find them cheaper on Amazon but they are closer to $14. So, where is the best place to buy k cups and what is the best brand?

Kohls is the best deal I've found. Caribou can be had for less than $0.50/cup with the coupons. Sometimes much cheaper. They have a lot of coupons etc that stack.

I bought them at walmart, then I bought the insert filter deals from walmart so I could use regular coffee in it to save money.

Buy the conversion cup and use your favorite coffee. Cheaper and still pretty dang simple.

Do the cups have a filter bottom or the all-plastic kind?

Sam's Club has the 80 K-cup boxes at good prices. You just have to get the small boxes until you find the flavor/brand you like.
We like the dark French roast.

You can get either. First time I got the filter bottom, but since then just the all plastic ones.

Green mountain IS Keurig, they're the parent company.

I like Donut House (also a GM brand).

DO NOT like Donut SHOP. Made that mistake a few times.

We use a small Keurig in the RV as we otherwise waste too much coffee so the per cup price ends up about the same. It's in the house in the winter in case I just want to make a single cup.

Still love the Cuisinart for making a full pot.

Yep, with beans fresh ground from the burr mill. K Cups have to be pre-staled so they can be sealed.

I buy mine on eBay. we really only drink two styles, Revv and Jet Fuel because they are strong like real coffee, even with a big cup.

$56 for 96 cups IIRC.

Those little K cups are quite the racket, they got ya by the short hairs with those things.

+1 this. I run a full insert @ medium cup size two times (refilling with fresh grounds in between) for a full cup of strong enough coffee.

I bought those to and used EXPRESSO to have a killer strong cup of coffee. :)

I also picked up a a deal at COSTCO. $36 for 100 K Cups of Kirkland PACIFIC BOLD Dark blend. pretty good actually. They have other blends and brands for that price but the KIRKLAND is the only DARK version they have for sale there.

This. The actual K-cup brand is so much better than the King Sooper version, although the latter is faster and easier.
I buy whole beans from Dazbog and use that when I have time.
If mornings are tight, I use K-cups. I really like the k-cups, but they feel SO wasteful.

Anyone have a recommendation for a reusable filter? I have the king soopers version and it filters weird, just doesn't seem right to me.

This one works better than the King Sooper, but you have to remove the holder.

Which is why I tend to use the King Sooper one more.
