Yeah, had a process run away and take up all the proc on the server. While it was down I decided to do system patches before the reboot, so it took slightly longer.

Yea, it went "Tits-up" for an hour or so, but all is well now.

Sometimes I think J takes the site offline for a bit just to wield his authority over us peasants and remind us that he is God. [not-worthy]

Yeah next time I'll write down the members number that I have a deal pending with so we can communicate lol.

Ouch. Sorry about that. Should be happier now. Had a bunch of Chinese bots overloading the site and the DB ran away with all available resources. I've blacklisted them in the firewall, but they have a tendency to recycle IPS and hit us again from a new subnet every couple months.

The worst part is when this happens it takes 15 minutes just to login and shut down the site so the server starts responding. When it's that overloaded it hardly responds and makes it take forever to fix.

IF you receive a pm notice through your e-mail. You can back door the site from there.

Good thing I was busy in meetings and missed it. Messes up the whole day and makes me worry that it is time to bug out and head for home. [emoji33] [emoji89] [emoji102]

Crap the site was down and I missed it. I need the anxiety so I appreciate it more and don't take it for granted.

Don't feel like the Stoned Ranger. I was so busy I missed it as well.[panic]

I never get to miss them.... unfortunately. I start getting automated alerts within 5 minutes of an outage, then its a game of how fast I can get to a computer and get into the system to fix it.... sigh.

Didn't notice but thanks for your diligence J. Luckily I have the luxury of geo IP bans and such at work. I can't imagine having to k-line every asshole script kid.
