Interesting. Either way, this guy has some explaining to do.
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) — A long-running parking dispute between neighbors motivated a man to kill a woman, her newlywed husband and her sister at a quiet condominium complex near the University of North Carolina campus, police said Wednesday.

Wait, so he didn't just kill them in cold blood because they are muslim? After reading news headlines earlier today on Fox, CNN and Drudge, this was my understanding of the situation.
And #MuslimLivesMatter? Really? For F#&%'s sake, ALL LIVES MATTER. STOP TRYING TO DEVALUE LIFE.
Wait, so if I harm someone not exactly like me then it's considered a hate crime?
That must be one helluva parking space!

I thought the same thing, strange how the media is/was spinning it this morning. But, even if he manages to mount a self-defense argument for himself he has got some serious explaining to do.
Wait, so if I harm someone not exactly like me then it's considered a hate crime?
I think this whole idea of "hate crime" is idiotic. The idea that others can identify what's truly in your heart as some sort of motive is way too much Minority Report and not enough logic.
It's illegal to kill another human being with the exception of self-preservation or the defense of others. /END OF STORY

Agree 100%.
After stewing for a bit, the only other thing I'd add is that creation of these "protected classes" is a slap in the face to anyone that was taught that all people are equal.
Apparently some have been determined to be more equal than others. [facepalm]

IF HE WERE A TEA PARTIER, THIS WOULD BE THE #1 STORY NATIONALLY: Killer of 3 UNC-Chapel Hill Muslim Students Was Hardcore Anti-Religion Atheist Progressive. (http://pjmedia.com/tatler/2015/02/11/killer-of-3-unc-chapel-hill-muslim-students-was-hardcore-anti-religion-progressive/) “Included in his many Facebook ‘likes’ are the Huffington Post, Rachel Maddow, the Southern Poverty Law Center, Freedom from Religion Foundation, Bill Nye ‘The Science Guy,’ Neil deGrasse Tyson, Gay Marriage groups, and a host of anti-conservative/Tea Party pages.” The ABC story shockingly omits that information. I’m placing the SPLC on my list of “groups associated with hate killings” now. After all, this isn’t the first (http://www.frontpagemag.com/2013/dgreenfield/leftist-shooter-used-southern-poverty-law-center-hate-map-to-plan-killings/) such incident. . . .

I was going to say, "at least they didn't make this a racial thing" ... and there it was on paragraph 2. Effing CAIR .. they and SPLC should both be listed as hate groups and CAIR further associated with supporting terror groups.

He was too busy dodging sniper fire, while interviewing Hillary.

Point taken. Perhaps my observation meter is off, perhaps.

In fact, Brian Williams was there. He was struck by several of the shooters bullets and killed...but he's all better now.

Reminds me me of the time Brian Williams was turned into a newt, or the time he had his arms and legs cut off protecting the bridge. He got better from those as well!
You know what, so what if it was a "hate crime"? Maybe the guy hates Muslims..... This is America and you are free to hate anyone you want.
It takes 2 to tango......

No way to tell if it was a hate crime or not. All the reports I have seen have no real details of any kind to explain why it happened. The titles all basically shout "Muslims killed by.." rather than 3 people killed by... With the media hype lately that later turned out to be bogus, I have a hard time finding a seat on the bandwagon yet. Guess I will reserve my judgment until I read more real details about the incident. Until then, I will lump this into the Only Hyped Cause Slow News Day category.

“No one in the United States of America should ever be targeted because of who they are, what they look like or how they worship,” the president said. “As we saw with the overwhelming presence at the funeral of these young Americans, we are all one American family.”
Has this president ever commented on something he actually had the facts on ?
I read this quote from the President yesterday:
“No one in the United States of America should ever be targeted because of who they are, what they look like or how they worship...,”
My first thought was to finish the quote for him, based on his past words and actions:
"...unless they are white police officers shooting unarmed African Americans."
Our President has become difficult to listen to for me. I am trying to be patient, but I am struggling with my concern over the list of potential replacements in two years. I am finding it difficult being hopeful.
God Bless Our Republic!

Nope, I can't think of a single time.
