Some of you know but TN passed a law very similar to Montanas' gun laws law awhile back TN calls it the firearm freedom act. TN law went into affect July 1, I thought. Even though this letter says June 19th. The bullies have spoken! You don't need state rights!

Here is a link to better understand TN new law. Its a PDF!
http://www.state.tn.us/sos/acts/106/pub/pc0435.pdf

And this is the response from the BATF....

I see SOTUS written all over this one. Won't do any good though! Who needs the 10th admendment anyways! Throw out the second while your at it!

What do you mean "pussed out" this letter is from the BATF to the TN FFL holders. I think its dated the 16th July (thursday) No one has challenged anything yet.

Forward this one around to people you know in other states who love firearms and freedoms! Be cautious the CZARS are watching!

This is why our LE needs to join and abide by the Oath they swore to uphold.
I just wonder how many people really understand what it means when you take the Oath?

Take a look at this video from Sheriff Richard Mack.

Those of you who are either former or active military need to join the Oath Keepers. This applies to all Law Enforcement as well.

Better yet... I think we should have Sheriff Mack run for the oval office! [Beer]

I think this was motivated by a recent high profile case in Tennessee

Wrong! Not motivated by an illegal sell or whatever. This is the Fed/ ATF overstepping there authority and walking all over sovereign states rights! Did you look up the bill? Legally voted in by the people of the state of TN. Bill 1796 which incidentally is the year TN became a state. Tn is the first state to pass a bill like this one and enact it. Montana's' bill doesn't become law till Oct or something. Read the bill and read the letter! And then ask yourself what this means! More than guns my friends, much more. Pull off your blinders and realize this affects you and yours. This is huge! The boil point is quickly approaching. Its a shame Steve was killed. But don't belittle the vast effect this has on your rights! TN and CO are one in the same.....a state with its own sovereignty.

RRD3, I remember my oath! Great point. One day soon the time will come when all LE on all levels will have to choice what the believe in. I hope the state LE people will protect and serve the people within there state. This isn't a choice of protecting your career(s) here. Its much bigger!

Guys I know I'm preaching to the choir but its bad out there. Socialism is and has been implemented. Its been much more subtle in the past and this is out right an abomination to the principles of our country! I feel like the constitution and bill of rights is on a roll in the bathroom up on Capital hill! WTF are they doing? For that matter ask yourselves what your doing!

Ah....written by the feds. Duh. Shows how much attention I pay....for some reason I thought it came from the Tenn. Capital. So I caught the part of federal law superseding.....which it doesn't. Hmmm...this could get real interesting. Tennessee will have to secede now or the SC will probably rule in favor of the BATFE.
Thanks Troll!

Here for you buddy!

And for everyone else too! Spread the word. The line has been drawn. I'm on a TN site TGO (Tennessee gun owners) and they are all over this one. They know what they were doing. Some big money gun lover is going to have to challenge this one with the help of other states that are into States rights. Every states AG should get on board and take this case to SCOTUS. If for nothing else to show the people the truth that YOU HAVE NO RIGHTS!

Listen, states' rights are not a primary. It never will be. I know it would be nice (because then you only have to convince 10 million people, not 300 million people,) but its an argument that has failed for a long time.

Yes, the Fed has been in violation of any reasonable interpretation of the 10th amendment for many years now. Yes, this has quashed a great deal of good laws. Some bad, too, but hear me out: states' rights is not a powerful argument to most people, and rightfully so. There is no moral principle that says that the people of one state can be oppressive, and the people of another can be free, and each has every right to be whichever they choose.

The proper principle here is that of individual rights. It is a moral argument, as against the argument that men ought to serve others (and all the implications of that) which is the basis of all statist encroachments on our freedoms. If the moral idea of the individual as a sovereign being, and not as a means to the ends of "the greater good" (be that national security, "a safer community," or "helping the poor,") then the battle of ideas is won. I think things like states rights simply siphon energy away and discredit the cause of liberty. A state is a government like any other; legal and constitutional arguments aside (which most people are neither interested in nor inspired by) most people do not see why a state ought to be exempt from federal regulation anymore.

I don't mean to attack federalism as a just organizing principle, as it has its uses, but I do believe that is a poor way to go about promoting freedo at this time.

*****Edited by me********Pancho..........Facq it! Why bother telling you anything. I'm not going into debate with you. See below!

I'm not as fluent with words as you but get out your lube and bend over because all is loss if challenges aren't brought forth to the Fed Gov. Got to pick a battle. TN choose this one. Montana has one,Texas,UT all on board. CO nothing!

Again... I think some people need to understand that the Constitution was written to LIMIT power of the federal government not give them power.

Fuck any of the socialistic liberal bullshit that has be taught in our schools.
Learn to read and interpret shit with your own fucking minds.

Damn it .... go read something meaningful like the Federalist Papers!

Rant on!

I'm sorry but this shit pisses me off! Don't water this down and make this seem less important. Anyone who doesn't see this (Pancho included) as a blatant violation on behalf of the Federal Government and isn't horrible offended by there current actions is right there with them (FED) against me and the vast majority of other pro-constitution/bill of rights people! I don't know everything but I do know the current circus of an administration, and congress is not looking out for us and could give two shits about our founding documents. Were not talking about varying views or interpretations of the founding documents. This is blatant disregard of them! I am sickened! The news is covering it all up. The sheeple don't even know what is happening. What they do know is lies! Change has come alright!

Don't just cling onto the second amendment while all the rest are getting pulled between the ass cheeks of these ass clowns on Capital hill! They know the second is considered "off limits" to outright take away. They lost votes over tampering with it in 2000. Our adversaries are smarter than that to go down that road again.

Rant off!

Troll, ya know I'm with ya 'till we run out of bullets.[Beer]
However, I think Ponch is expressing what could be perceived as the general attitude in this country, and he would be correct. It is a socialist viewpoint, but that's been that path we've been heading down now for a while. It is very sad.
A state has it's sovereignty-nobody can do anything about it, except for that state. And a state is an individual-an individual state made up of individuals. There is no "collective". This isn't the Ant movie, for fuqs sake. It's America. And I remember my oath and am a member of oath keepers. I didn't know you guys here knew about that. Rock on.

I hope TN comes out ahead on this one.

As much as I liked all the attorney generals petitioning to have the Chicago case overruled where illinois says the federal law doesn't apply to the states.

there is a conflict of interest there. depending on the state, then what about each county? I question those attorney generals if they really want to uphold the rights of the citizens of the US, or if they want the feds to be able to control everything so montana and tennessee can't do what they are doing.
