I'd love to see a new 4x4 game now that consoles can actually make the intricate physics work. Think Gran Turismo with Jeeps, Yotas, and Land Rovers. You can add gears, lockers, driveshafts, body armor, winches, etc. and you have classes (trail/rock crawl/mud). The driving is intricate with individual axle adjustment.

A mil. simulator that works. Arma 3 has the potential, except that the controls are insanely convoluted, the servers are dogshit, the comms are faulty at best, the UI is painful, the physics are unresponsive, and the objectives are rarely explicit. An awesome game ruined by half-baked development.

I'd really like to see Gordon Dickson's Dorsai series or Heinlein's Future History series done right and with respect (in other words, none of that bilge from Verhoeven). A mini-series with accompanying MMORPG of "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress" -- complete with all of Heinlein's political discussions -- would be great.

As an aside to no one, Wasteland and the ability to see Becky O'Grady's bra through her shirt sleeves are the reason I failed high school algebra.
Fallout caused my live-in girlfriend to leave me for two months in the late 90s.
I finally realized my personality was poorly suited to such things, which is why I never bought another video game again.
I replaced the locus of my obsession with the much more manageable vices of beer and guns, and never looked back.

Movie-It's coming out Dec 18th

TV- The Silmarillion produced by HBO

Music- I would dig a new Pantera album full of unreleased tracks

Video games- dont get me started. The state of games is bad right now, EA and Activision are ruining the hobby. DLC (not as a addon, but to get the complete story/experience, is bullshit. I would like a non shit Gran turismo for PS4, I would like half life three. Or better yet, I want Elder scrolls 6.

Fallout is a video game franchise that takes place in the aftermath of a nuclear war between the US and China in 2077. Instead of learning about computers and microchips, the world instead worked on atomic energy design, starting in the 1950s, which starts the divergence between their universe and our own. The player must survive living in the wasteland and complete their goals (in some cases, it's finding a way to restore the water production equipment inside your vault, in others it is trying to find your father, who fled the vault to continue his project to bring drinkable water to the outside world).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iJcuAau2RKA

Stalker is a survival game series that takes place now, in the radiation zones around Pripyat.

The intro video is like something out of a 90s video game, and doesn't explain anything about it, so I'll skip posting it.

This! I loved Test Drive Off-Road (especially the free roam mode, aka try to get places you saw during a race) and would love to see a more diverse experience with the next gen consoles (like more than just racing).

Arma had so much potential. I feel like if DICE got super serious and have it a shot it would be epic. I'm sick of all these modern military games that have a prescribed set of equipment you must use with no customization before the mission (Arma fixed that, kinda) and contrived story (China/Russia WWIII? WTF?). Soon, I hope.

Or better yet, I want Elder scrolls 6.
Word is it's in the works... Same with another Fallout title. The problem is when. They're talking about a multi million dollar pair of projects (ES5: Skyrim took almost 5 years to make, no word yet on where they are with either Fallout or the next ES games.

Rock n Rolla exists and was awesome. But it was made right before Gerard Butler, Tom Hardy, and Idris Elba all blew up.

Their demand probably keeps the sequel that Guy Ritchie hinted at from happening.

Bad company 3? Hell with that, bring back battlefield 1942. And especially bring back self-hosted servers. The ranked garbage killed gaming starting with battlefield 2. Now every online game gives you pretty much zero ability to control where you play and why. Consoles are the worst, you are forever cursed with playing with 12 year olds, because as far as the developers are concerned America is like a frying pan, and everybody needs to play like their brain is scrambled eggs.

Their used to be public servers for OG's. Used to be. Many, many of the regulars had moderator power and kept things well controlled. Now everything is random servers, twitch gaming, quick spawn, boom pow action flashy shiney. AND CRAP.

*rant off*

I'll do you one better: a new Battlefield Vietnam. Not the BFBC2 DLC, but a dedicated new entry. A PC-only entry. It'll never happen, but this is a dream thread anyway. And since I'm dreaming, make it with Unreal Engine 4. No quick scopes, no dedicated melee button, no nerfed "hardcore" mode, no bullshit.

I think the COD generation is what ruined gaming for me. I just want to play a squad-based tactical shooter that encourages teamwork and intelligence. But to sell to today's gamers, you have to have perks and killstreaks and goofy horseshit that eliminates the need for communication and cooperation. Even the new Rainbow Six has done away with the cover system and all of the game modes for a singular game type with three minute rounds. Because God forbid these kids have to play a round for more than five minutes and actually employ some strategy.

FFS, already, I agree! I'm so sick of games basically being played like this: Week 1, get through campaign in 2 nights, begin MP. Week 2-99999 Multiplayer, multiplayer, and oh look, a change of pace, more multiplayer with 6 DLCs that are all MP, not one SP expansion. Don't get me wrong, I'm hooked on BF4 still, but would love more SP, I've beaten the campaign 2x and feel like I don't care to try for a 3rd, even if I get a different gun.

I almost never play the multiplayer crap, I don't have enough time to put into it to compete with the basement dwelling teens and I just don't think it's very rewarding after finishing. Honestly, the best FPS is the original Medal of Honor that Spielberg worked on. The campaign was fantastic. Even with much older graphics and engine I still think it blows every offering on the PS2/3/4 and Xbox/360/One out of the water.

There was nothing like the original Wing Commander. Great command of the physics at play. I'd love to see the game revamped with today's GPU capabilities and you could use the engine to do versions for Star Wars or Battlestar Galactica.

What era are you looking for? For modern air combat, there's Lock On: Modern Air Combat and DCS World (a watered down multiplayer only version). For WW2 there's War Thunder, and also the classic
