I may have a chance to get a good deal on a Walther/HK MP5 (sd style model). Anyone have experience with them? Looks like a fun little plinker-a friend is going through some tough times and will allow me first bite at a really great price-the only provision, and we've done this before, is that if I ever decide to sell it he gets to buy it back at the same price.

He's had it a couple of years and has only put about 150 rounds through, trouble free with CCI mini-mag.

Thanks for any feedback.

They're not bad. IIRC those W/HK MP5 copies are bringing top dollar, since H&K or walther pulled out of the deal. Or was it over copyright ?? Anyway if the deals right and you have access to any "accessories" he's including buy it.

The be all to know all for 22's

CDNN has them for $369 until tomorrow. Don't know what they're policy is about shipping without mags to us here. Not interested any longer, having too much fun with the Colt (Walther) .22 1911.

I have the SD model. It's been flawless on CCI minimags. I ran some Remington Thunderbolts through it and although it did cycle pretty well on them, they leaded up the barrel like crazy. I ended up having to hammer a dowel through the barrel to get the chunks of lead out. Other than that, no issues.
