Ok you Glock owners, which is nearly everyone on here, the Glock match will again be held at Weld county fish & Wildlife High Plains range.
This is a great match for all level of shooters, as they separate Masters from novice. This is the perfect match for those who've never shot in competition and want to get their feet wet. In brief, you stand and shoot from a low ready position, no need for any exotic gear. If you've a holster/bag/rug, Glock, and preferably 4magazines, ammo, you're GTG. Of course, eyes and ears as well.
As an example: last year we had 350 "guns" shot. That doesn't mean that number of shooters, as one person can compete with numerous models of Glocks. Glock supplies all manor of goodies at these matches, such as a Glock Armourer to inspect, clean, etc any Glock you bring to them. They'll also do free updates to them if needed...free.
they also gave away the following...
18 Glock firearms
13- $100
14-$75
24-$50
3-Glock Knifes
4-Glock Entrenching tools
40-Years worth of memberships!
We a
we also had Lunch available at a reasonable cost.
Hope to see you all there.
Do we need to register or sign up in advance?

Are Glocks with modified grips allowed to compete?
Only in one division, I think.
Its all spelled out in the GSSF rulebook.
Thanks, I'll take a look.

You can apply ahead of time or day of. I think they charge a $10 walk up fee if you wait.
Any Glock you have can be shot in a class of some sort. There are divisions also just for cops, firefighters, military.
Hoser. Same as last year, I plan on setting up on Friday and shoot whoever wants to through that eveningish. If I can get the time off, I may set up Thursday and just be that much ahead. Depends on work.
We we also are going to give a try at having a Vendors row. Where guys can buy accessories, get guns laser etched, etc. just trying to improve things each year.

Are they typically running all paper, or steel on the Glock M stages? What about the 5 to Glock?

Theres bacically three stages, that are shot in strings. One consist of plate racks, one of 5 paper, one of 4 paper and one steel per string.
Looks so so easy, which it is, just very unforgiving.

This is a great match, and run very well. It's not the most dynamic, but it is a lot of fun. Shooting my carry G19, I managed to win 3 guns in competition over the years. You can't beat the free armorer service, either.

Planning on being there as well for the first time and on a team. I know for sure I'm going to be running my 19 but I might see if I can barrow my buddy's 26 and shoot the subcompact division as well. Gonna have to check the rules if I can run his 26 since the grip is modified.

Sometimes they're a bit lenient with some small mods if it's your first match, you shoot like a newb, etc. worse case, they throw you into Competition class. Before they do, if they try, ask if you can borrow a gun to finish. You'll be able.
Are there still spots open? Not sure about my work schedule yet but if I'm going to be around next weekend I'm kicking around the idea of trying to make it out.

Yea, you can join there or online. I "think" they gig you $10 for waiting to the day of, not positive.
Yep, still slots available. Come one, come all. And if you can only make it Friday....I might can accommodate you as long as you've a little patience.

Yes just show up. The earlier the better.
Shot the match Friday, Limited GM and his crew know what they are doing, going to be a great weekend for all the Glock shooters. Thanks for the hard work guys!

Today was awesome. Can't wait for next year. But I learned something today. Never shoot the plate rack stage as the 1st event. Unless you are really good, in which case I am not. Thanks to those on here that made it happen.

Anyone happen to film any of the stages this year?
Edit, found some stuff online, looks like same stages nation wide? Looks like fun. I'm dying to shoot a plate rack again.

Drive up tomorrow and take a shot. It's like pins, only a longer line.
This didn't get onto my radar until recently and I unfortunately am unable to go tomorrow, even though that's exactly what I'd like to do.
Limited GM

Longer line? We have four bays of each stage set up.
The majority of shooters shot today, so lines should be short tomorrow. Come one, come all.
*make sure you introduce yourself to the guy on golf cart with boonie hat.
I can't make it, but are there still prizes left by Sunday?
Limited GM
08-15-2015, 20:13
Yep all prizes still available.
Ive loaner Glocks if anyone needs them, just let me know.
Things always go fast when LimitedGM is running the show.
Shot 3 different guns/divisions in about two hours.

407 entries. Good times were had by all.
i was most impressed at how well the younger demographic shot. There may be hope for America yet.

Wow, that was fast.
Very cool.
Back in the bad old good days it would take 4-6 months to get results.
I was reading the first list and getting excited, "Look at all these ladies in the top 5...10...15!.... Oh, I get it."
Also, look at Bryan Dover go!
How do you get extra time on the steel? Is that a penalty of some sort?

Thats the one and only Patricia Seale at the head of the pack. Good woman with questionable taste in men...
Ben Dover is the man. Shoots Glocks faster than anybody out there. I think all he shoots are GSSF matches. And his wins guns at all of them.
Leaving plates standing is the main reason why you see penalties on the rack.
Thank you Hoser, I can always count on you for good answers.
What does * after a name in the results mean?
What does * after a name in the results mean?
Those are all the shooters that tested positive for performance enhancing drugs after the match?
DocMedic

the * means they are Glock "master" and only allowed to win one gun per match. no matter if they won every division.
Is one considered a glock master for being a USPSA master?

According to the GSSF handbook, yes.
Thanks Botherston, if I was a sandbagger like you I wouldn't have to worry about this issue :)

Great...now I got to go back and see how good rtr did.
As as for the penalties question.....also if someone's so fatigued from running wide open all day, that they shoot the wrong round count, in the wrong division and the RO somehow fails to bring it to your attention.
yea, I'm still pissed about that even after winning a gun.
Final results posted http://www.gssfonline.com/results/2015/2015gco.pdf several of my friends won stuff, great job guys.

People don't realize how easy it is to win cool stuff at these matches. Heck....even occasional shooters like Hoser won a gun. First time away from revolvers in eons.

I'm going to try and come out next year. If I still don't own a Glock by then, I'll just borrow one.

It was my first time shooting a semi auto since last GSSF match... Not quite an eon, but close.
These matches are a ton of fun. Low stress and cool people.

Ditto. Heck, two of the pistols I brought this year had more rounds put through them by others than by me.
That's mighty kind of you gentlemen.
Still on for 13-14 Aug?
If I am not out on the fires, I will be up Friday for set up.

Just got a new Glock this week. Won't have an opportunity to shoot it before Saturday. Will there be a side range available in the AM to do a quick POI/POA test? 10 rounds should be plenty.

There's the back side of the berms. Not sure what's going to be open sat & sun. I'm heading out in a few to check some new sights.
