**Well now he's decided to keep it so all for naught. I do appreciate the feedback, I never did get new pictures of it, he wants to shoot it sometime soon again so hopefully I'll get to join him and see how it shoots at least.**

A friend of mine has a full stainless (frame & slide) 226, 9mm from 2005 that he bought new. It's pretty much a safe queen, original box, etc, night sights 2 15rd. mags. I looked at it quite a few years ago and don't remember anything special about it but don't know the exact variation, he said that he's put perhaps 500 rounds through it. I'm waiting to see it again, he's asking my advice on selling it. I explained how our law now requires the cbi check for ftf sales, how it works if you sell out of state, etc. Off the top of my head I figured $700 and got the same suggestion from others.

I think he'd not like to mess with shipping and will hopefully be able to put up a pic or two in the next couple of days. Does that price sound reasonable (I'm assuming it's the basic stainless gun)?

I like Sigs (note my avatar pic)! All depends: which variant/model? German manufacture slide/proof marks (I think 2005 could be)? Trigger options? Manual of arms? Sig makes some excellent handguns, they were head-to-head with Beretta for .mil contracts, but Beretta 92 won out due to overall lower cost (at least that's the "story")...

Price it how one feels comfortable. For OOS sales add $50+ for over night S&H . Unfortunately there's very little movement gun sale wise, at this time. People are either waiting for their tax return OR maxed out on gun purchases.

That price isn't out of line for a nice used P226 stainless, but as said, depends on the trigger and finish as to marketability. Right time, right place, right buyer, anything is possible.

I need another Sig like I need another body orifice.

Thanks guys, I used Sigs back in the late 80s/early 90s for a bit-226 & 228 models. This guy is driving me crazy, lol, keeps asking lots of questions-I'm trying to help him out but he's really slooooow on getting me pics so I can refresh my memory on this gun. He's not much of a gun guy ( he does think he knows more than he does, but hey he's a decent guy outside of that), lived in Phoenix when he bought it at the Scottsdale Gun Club-sounds like he got talked into it by the salesman. I do remember it's a traditional da/sa pistol, don't recall anything special about it.

I do know he wants to keep it ftf, I reminded him of the change in our law regarding such transactions and suggested he give himself a little leeway once a price is decided. IF i ever get pics I'll post them. Thanks again.
