File this under weird....my car insurance guy called me yesterday wanting to knowcif I knew someone willing to go shoot some 16 gauge shells? Seems some woman is getting married, found some odd colored shells and wants to make bootineers s/p? Out of the empty cases. Seriously.

if you've the time and the gauge, let me know and I'll hook the two of you up.

Yea right? Not the most common phone call I receive. It must be a western state thing. In the south we shoot the shells during the bachelors party and use the gun to make sure the groom shows.

Any pics of the bridesmaids? That could make or break this.

I asked why he couldn't just do a 12 and supposedly the only "cobalt blue" shells she found, was 16.

People.

Spray paint or nail polish.

The heart wants what the heart wants. Remind your agent that she can pry the shells open and just dump the contents as well. Unstruck primers would look better anyway. Not to mention put a little excitement into that wedding.

Yea, tried to call him and see just how they plan on using them. Might be interesting to see some bridesmaid heat the shell so it would cut better. Then again, I think they'll probably use the opened hull to place the flowers in. Guessing here.

Rio 12ga Hulls are cobalt blue

Most skeet/trap/sporting clays places will have thousands in trash buckets as the Skeet 12ga Rio loads are cobalt blue hulls.
Most people don't reload Rio hulls as they take only Rio primers.

This guys sells once fired blue low brass Rio hulls- 6.99/100. 8.99 for new primed.

And here I was thinking she must want purple ones.

Tell here to head up to great guns in Nunn and she'll find plenty of them in the dumpster or buckets next to each clay station.
