I have potentially three barrels I want to get threaded for muzzle devices. I want a really good job done because I will be attaching a suppressor to them. Two are bolt gun barrels and the other is an AR barrel. Does anyone have a recommendation of a Smith that will do a great job on this? I'm in the Woodland Park area but I go to Colorado Springs regularly.

It would be worth your time to make the trip to see BPTactical. Lead time may be kinda long for a while though.

He's back logged after surgery. Do a search past page 3. There were 1 or 2 suggestions for that area. IIRC Colorado_hack / Danger lee ind might be doing some smith work.

If your a patient man we will be happy to assist you. I'm only gonna have one wing for a few weeks, I ripped up an elbow at work.

I'll run the lathe for you Bert. Non-concentric threads that start out at 28 tpi and taper down to 13 tpi near the end are OK, right?

If you can't wait for Bert, check with Chris at Rocky Mountain Weaponry.

i have no problem waiting. What's the average price on threading a barrel? Or are there too many factors for a price range?

Ok, I actually live near Rocky Mountain weaponry. I've called him twice and he never returned my calls in the past. What is the average cost anyway. How about Hickman rifles?
