For many years that was my assessment of him ... never was a fan of his "music" or his scene, but after watching a couple of his reality shows (one where he renovated and flipped a few expensive houses and one where he spent a few weeks living with the Amish) he came off as a hard worker and basically decent guy ... just with lousy taste in music.
