As we now live under the increased threat of Islamic domestic terrorism, it is my belief that more citizens should get quality handgun training and obtain their concealed carry permits. Concealed carriers who already have their permits should begin carrying with more regularity, and may want to consider upgrading what they carry on a daily basis.

Your post is a little misleading. The Secretary of Homeland Security confirmed that there was a specific threat on the Mall of America. The guy who wrote the article is the one suggesting an ever more vigilant concealed carry regiment.

Jeh Johnson advocating the peasants carry guns to the mall? I don't think so. Not in this lifetime.

I was going to say, I don't forsee ANY member of this Administration encouraging self preservation, as that goes against everything they believe in.

I wasn't faulting you for reporting the news. Your post just kind of came across that the Secretary said concealed carry was the best way to stay safe. Which isn't what was reported in the article.

Of course, no one has ever blamed me for having the best reading comprehension skills.

Johnson did not say to carry your guns. The article itself is a little misleading in itself and is written to possibly make the reader think the sec' actually said that.

Stay safe out there.

I fixed the title to more accurately describe this thread.
