WASHINGTON — Hillary Rodham Clinton exclusively used a personal email account to conduct government business as secretary of state, State Department officials said, and may have violated federal requirements that officials’ correspondence be retained as part of the agency’s record.
Mrs. Clinton did not have a government email address during her four-year tenure at the State Department. Her aides took no actions to have her personal emails preserved on department servers at the time, as required by the Federal Records Act.
It was only two months ago, in response to a new State Department effort to comply with federal record-keeping practices, that Mrs. Clinton’s advisers reviewed tens of thousands of pages of her personal emails and decided which ones to turn over to the State Department. All told, 55,000 pages of emails were given to the department. Mrs. Clinton stepped down from the secretary’s post in early 2013.
Her expansive use of the private account was alarming to current and former National Archives and Records Administration officials and government watchdogs, who called it a serious breach.
“It is very difficult to conceive of a scenario — short of nuclear winter — where an agency would be justified in allowing its cabinet-level head officer to solely use a private email communications channel for the conduct of government business,” said Jason R. Baron, a lawyer at Drinker Biddle & Reath who is a former director of litigation at the National Archives and Records Administration.
Someone named Clinton did something illegal, unethical, and should be disqualified from holding public office or practicing law?
OK

Yeah I mean, what else is new. But this seems to even have libs riled up.
Bear in mind this is (one of the things) Palin was crucified for. Add to the pile of reasons she should not be a candidate.

What evil lurks in the hearts of the Clinton's.

Greed, Pride, and Arrogance.
Looking ahead two years to the next Presidential election does not inspire confidence in me. Anarchy has never looked better to me than the choices we will be presented with.

It ain't gettin' any better, is it?
And every government official that either sent or received email from Hillary is just as guilty for not reporting that it was a private account.
Anything FOUO and above cannot be sent to private accounts.
You can't tell me she did this for four years and nobody noticed until now.

I'm going to go out on a limb and bet that lots of people noticed, lots of people complained -- and lots of people were told to shut up and color.
Not only was it a private email, she owned/operated the server.

WASHINGTON – The computer server that transmitted and received Hillary Clinton's emails -- on a private account she used exclusively for official business when she was secretary of state -- traced back to an Internet service registered to her family's home in Chappaqua, New York, according to Internet records reviewed by The Associated Press.
The highly unusual practice of a Cabinet-level official physically running her own email would have given Clinton, the presumptive Democratic presidential candidate, impressive control over limiting access to her message archives. It also would distinguish Clinton's secretive email practices as far more sophisticated than some politicians, including Mitt Romney and Sarah Palin, who were caught conducting official business using free email services operated by Microsoft Corp. and Yahoo Inc.

I hate when people use the word "obviously" in the way that she does, and try not to use it myself. If it were obvious, you wouldn't be explaining it/answering a question about it now would you?

Is that the "selfies for Ukraine" bitch?
So apparently others have used private emails for official uses: http://news.yahoo.com/kansas-governor-says-using-private-email-cell-simpler-191612653--politics.html
I don't care which party pays your bribes, stop keeping info about official business a secret when you have to know what the laws are about it.

How is she a viable candidate for anything other than dog catcher? (she got Billy and he's certainly a bird dog)

Yes and that means we were allowed to see the emails containing the nations business that she chose, instead of ALL OF THEM.
I wonder how many official government emails were related to her "charity" fund and the favors granted by donating to the "charity" fund.
Do you ever wonder about the people that will vote for Hillary? Are any of them part of your life? Do you ever question their integrity, honesty, intelligence or their character? If they'll vote for Hillary, what else will they do?
If only the email deleting, lying, bribe taking, former secretary of state had deflated some footballs then maybe the media would think she's no good...

So CNN is really trying to hard to spin the IG report. Check out the final line:
Some have already begun to seize upon the inspector general's report, mischaracterizing it as clear evidence of a crime. And when the Department of Justice announces that it is not filing criminal charges -- as is both expected and perhaps inevitable -- Clinton will likely argue that it constitutes proof that she did nothing wrong.
Based on the publicly available evidence, the reality appears to be nuanced in a way that is satisfying to neither side.
Clinton violated the law, but committed no crime.

Isn't violating the law the definition of committing a crime?

In our world, yes, in the (D) world, maybe, in the Klinton world, absolutely not.
