Went by today so they could handle an out-going transfer for me. Nice group of guys, very friendly, easy to work with and they've got some nice stuff in the cases. Good to see that there's a few nice places on the south end of the Denver metro area.

I'll be back.

Stopped there yesterday as well while getting some lunch. Good looking store and nice people. That said the prices on stuff are much to high for me to go back.

Saw a 22 pistol priced over $100 more than I paid at Noah's shop. A Sub 2k for $650?

Seem like a decent group of guys but their pricing is way out of line. I can see a difference of $10-$50 between different stores pricing but it seems they are constantly $75+ higher than anyone around them.

I was working near there yesterday, so I stopped in to check them out and on the off chance to see if they had a couple of miscellaneous AR parts. They had them in stock.
If you are near there, and need that odd part, they may be the 7-11 for AR parts. Close & convenient with prices to match.

Stopped by while renewing my driver's license. Very nice guys, nice and new shop, happy to answer my questions.

A couple thoughts:
-kind of expensive on a lot of things. But $20 FFL transfers, inclusive of CBI fee
-was told that their branded barrels were chromoly, "which is better than chrome lined, because it's mixed in" (No. Sorry.)
-was told that all of their assembled guns have a 1/4 MOA guarantee "If you can do your part..."
--was told that a sniper at Fort Carson has one, and shot a 3 inch group at 500 yards. "isn't that.. More than half MOA?"
--was told that this guarantee even applies to Wolf. "If you can do your part..."

Iunno, maybe they found the grail and have managed to trump Lothar-Walter and Larue on a rebranded barrel. As long as they back up the warranty, good on them. I just have doubts.

Nice guys.

Plus side: $20 transfers

In a half hour, three of their "custom/ guntech rifles" came through the door with feeding issues. Tall claim to say that "I won't know quality until I try triple j armory."

I used to work behind the counter at a gun store. Never in my life have I been flagged that many times in less than 5 minutes by one guy. When I said, "excuse me" after being flagged for the ?? Time, I was told by said salesmen "it's ok, the guns empty."

While I was standing there, the salesmen, without asking, continued to handle and dry fire my weapon. While it's fine, it would be nice if he would ask before they finger fuck my gun.

I honestly won't be going back.

I don't think it's a big deal to dry fire a gun, not one little bit. But because someone else might think it is a big deal, I always ask first. Just seems like good etiquette.

"It's ok, the guns empty". Famous last words of someone who shouldn't be behind the counter at a gun shop.

"It's ok the guns empty" after being muzzled is kind of like someone saying "it's ok I don't have AIDS" after you catch someone in bed with your wife.

They are nice guys and make transfers easy. Prices are good, if you don't think its a good deal just ask as they are super easy to deal with. Happy to have a good store near the house.

They're going to pay a price for that. There is no panic buying on ARs in the retail market. No reason to pay any more for anything than you did last year.

When you see a certain gun store in the very south metro area pimping AR's for $16-1800 on a base model. The market will either keep their doors open or shut them down. Triple J isn't the only place selling for more then on line vendors.

I saw one shop up north of denver selling PSA "Kit Guns (no lower) for $125 over the PSA web site price. They had the complete PSA lowers marked the same. Price gouging or market value?

IMO Gouging is a loose term that could be applied to any shop in the business.

Fair enough- but a brick and mortar store can never compete price wise with the online sellers. You'll almost always pay more for any item at the store as opposed to online. And there is no shortage of any of this stuff right now- so no good reason to increase prices. Prices have not gone up distributor to retailer.

Yeah, I know they were talking about opening a shooting range off county line. Not sure where they stand on that, but haven't heard any update. Was looking at a handgun from them and they wanted to charge me $20 for the CBI. I reminded them the CBI fee is $7 and asked what the additional $13 was for. I was told that is a transfer fee. Needless to say I left without the firearm. They are right up the road from me, but I'll do my buying elsewhere.

When I first went in a number of months ago I was impressed with how friendly they were and felt the prices were in line with what I'd been seeing. Been back a couple of times recently and frankly there's enough other shops equally close or closer that have been getting my hard earned dollars.

*Edit to add that a lot can change in almost a year since I started this thread.**

Helped a kid put together a kit gun from these guys today. Front barrel nut and handguard would not line up for the gas tube. Kid went back this afternoon and they made it all right. New parts and assembled it for him.

is this the reincarnation of J&J Enterprises? It's in the same shopping center, and all the J's involved...

I have to give 3JA thumbs up for the most part. For a busy store they are efficient.
They charge $15 for a background check they said though, most other places I believe charge $10.50

Mazin

Hmmm the CBI charge is only 10.50 so thats kid of jacked up.

So $4.50 to cover brick and mortar + employees’ time...seems entirely reasonable to me.

They've got to pay those insurance deductibles somehow

Hell, you'd spend more than $4.50 in time and gas looking for a cheaper place.

Premiums. Deductibles are for when you for a claim.

Well, they have certainly had to do that several times over the past few years.

Charging an extra 4.50 on top of the cbi charge just to finalize selling one of their own guns is ok with you? To me thats a kind of like them putting a tax on the "Privilege" of just doing business with them. Personally any shop that charges more than the cbi charge to sell their own guns is one I wouldnt go to. Makes me wonder what they charge for Xfers.

Transfer fee, including bgc is $40. Seems inline with most shops I've seen. Some a little lower and some higher. Most I have seen are $30 transfer and $10.50 bgc.

I had an issue with them a few years ago at the Tanner wrt their bgc fee, but have had no concerns since.
