motorcycle ride on Saturday (dirt/off road)

Thinking of riding up Rollins Pass on Saturday on the West side (closest to Nederland)

I'm thinking of off trailering the bike in Rollinsville and riding up from there.
I used to park at the Moffat Tunnel, but it's only an additional ~14 miles from Rollinsville (round trip).

the ride from rollinsville to the trail head near the tunnel is pretty easy, just a basic improved dirt road. the pass itself is fairly easy off road riding with bumps and a few rocks to deal with. A 2wd truck (and some cars) can make the trip as long as they have some clearance. Should not be a problem for a novice rider.. it's a nice ride and has lots of nice views ;)

just a leisurely ride, bring a camera.

Wish you would have posted last weekend or earlier this week. Knee deep in moving this weekend. Would have been nice to get out one more weekend on the bike with a companion. Lost my moto bud last year and haven't been out deep in the mountains since.

well I didn't hear any response from anyone who wanted to go, so I did the Thunder Road ride... was nice.... but rain on the return trip.


we can schedule one for later on, road or dirt, location TBD..

I'm interested in day rides on dirt. Have an XR650 that goes pretty good even with me on it after a few mods [Abused]

How about doing 105 mph in the scrub desert of Utah on a 60 degree day just after a torrential downpour in the middle of the day way the hell off the highway. Sounds perfect to me
