Though I appreciate Ken's and Trey's stance on the 2nd Amendment, I'm not sure having an "inoperable" (no BCG) AR15 in DC is wise.
Still, good for Ken.

Two Republican congressmen who posed for a picture with an assault rifle are coming under scrutiny from the District of Columbia’s Attorney General Office.

Rep. Ken Buck (R-Colo.) last week tweeted a picture of himself and Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.), the leader of the House GOP’s Benghazi investigation, holding an AR-15.

Buck said in the tweet that the assault rifle is his, and that the picture was taken after Gowdy “stopped by” his office.

“I have a very patriotic AR-15 hanging in my office. It hangs directly above my Second Amendment flag,” Buck said.

But they didn't investigate the "journalist" that had the magazine that was illegal to possess, and broadcast the fact on national TV.

The attorney general for the District of Columbia, Irvin Nathan, announced Friday that he will not press charges against NBC News’ David Gregory nor any employee of the broadcast network for violating the city’s gun laws. Violation of the city’s firearms laws carry a maximum $1,000 fine and one year in jail.

I was just thinking of this... They can't get huffy about Buck and Gowdy unless they're willing to crucify David Gregory in the process... Hypocrites.

The color clashes in that photograph hurt my eyes. [flamingo]

I see the patriotic AR, but after looking for sometime I can't seem to find the sturmgewehr. Any help?

A Republican congressman who brought an AR-15 rifle to his Capitol Hill office did so legally even though it’s illegal for most people to carry a firearm under Washington, D.C.’s strict gun laws, police say.

Last week, Colorado Rep. Ken Buck tweeted a photo (https://twitter.com/RepKenBuck/status/588725017342451713) of himself and Rep. Trey Gowdy posing with the American-flag-painted assault rifle.
Buck told the Washington Post (http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/local/wp/2015/04/21/congressman-proudly-packs-a-patriotic-ar-15-in-his-capitol-hill-office/) that he received clearance from authorities to transport the firearm from his home state to his office on Capitol Hill

Democrats all over Capital Hill were changing their underwear upon hearing about this evil gun in their presence.

Gowdy somehow must have stumbled upon James Traficant's former barber in DC.

No, no, Gowdy for Speaker. Can you imagine how the past 6 years would have been if we'd had someone with some fortitude like Gowdy as Speaker instead of the Crier in Chief?

Reminds me of an old joke: "I told my wife to go to Cox's and pick me up a seersucker suit, well she went to Sears..."

The man has to have a set to pull off a suit like that! Bless them both!
