Looks like a new gun shop is under construction here in Parker, called Iron Horse Armory. In the Parker Plaza at Parker Rd. and Plaza Dr., kinda catty-cornered from the Waffle House. Gonna be easy to find, I'm sitting out front right now, work is going on inside.

Anybody know more? Anyone here involved?

Stopped by last week. Nice people, moderate selection. Don't really see how they will make it from a business standpoint................But three cheers for every new gun store locally!!!!!!!

I stopped in the other day, really friendly staff and they had a decent selection of firearms and ammo. It seems like they're off to a good start.

Iron Horse Armory is new and still has many new plans for the future after speaking with the owners. They offer a wide variety of training and can detail it to the specific individual or organize a class. Considering they just opened, the inventory and prices are very good compared to others. There will be a lot more coming into the store in the future and they will also have consignments so that can be a wide variety of weapons and accessories.

I hope they expand into reloading supplies. I'd love to find a place that keeps a good selection of bullet casting molds on hand!

I stopped by withy my son yesterday afternoon. Very clean and organized rentail are. What I really liked was their firearms display cases. The cabinets were glass paneled and mounted to the wall. The firearms are mounted on wire holders so you get a clear, head height view of them so you're not leaning over a glass counter like normal. I was immediately greater upon entry and asked if I needed any help. +1. Female associate offered my 4yr old some candy to preoccupy him while I chatted with Dustin. +5.

I spent 2hrs in there BS'ing gun stuff and reloading with Dustin. I did ask/suggest if they will carry reloading supplies and the answer was not at this moment as their still trying to feel out their market. That's understandable with Cabelas down the road. All in all, good people and friendly service, didn't bother checking prices as I was too involved in conversation to look. Stop by and check them out.

Good point about Cabela's, that's some tough competition right there. Plus Potestio Gun Room, Pony Express Guns, Franktown Firearms, etc.

Bringing this back from the dead.

Anyone have ate any recent experience with this place?

A coworker picked up a pistol and a holster from them. Sounds like he got a decent enough deal. I really like the holster and was thinking about trying to swing by next week and maybe pick one up.

Curious about what the peanut gallery thinks of the store. I can order the holster online direct from the manufacturer and save myself the drive down there.

Thanks.

I've bought some ammo, decent price-nothing special, I was visiting my son who lives in Parker when I went in a couple of weeks ago. While a nice selection didn't see any super great prices on guns. The manager used to work at Centennial Gun Club, bald guy with goatee, don't remember his name.

Monday - Saturday: 10am - 6pm

Pass by them twice a day, 6 times a week.
They are open less hours than I work.
I would have liked to try and stop in, but seems like it could never happen.

The new Gander will likely take a bit of biz from them in sales.

After purchasing an SBR and suppressor from them in Sep, my form 4's finally got submitted at the end of December..... After calling, showing, and being told they were submitted. Apparently that Manager is no longer there and been replaced.

Probably mentioned elsewhere, but the Murdoch's Farm & Ranch store in Parker has a pretty impressive gun area and selection now.

Don't use their gun smith. Friend of mine had some sights and trigger installed there. Less than impressed.

Your post is ambiguous immediately following rondog's post about Murdoch's.

Are you commenting on the subject of the thread title, Iron Horse, or Murdoch's?

Maybe it's just me...
