Steel Challenge, Burris Optics Regional Championship, 22-23 May

This year Burris Optics, a Colorado Company, is the main match sponsor for the Area 2 Rocky Mountain Regional Steel Challenge Championship.

Burris has put over $3,500 on the prize table. Prizes are given out via random drawing.

Like previous years the match will be held at the Pueblo West Sportsmans Assn range in Pueblo, Colorado.

Shooters under 16 shoot for free.

You can shoot up to four different guns for match score. This is a cash payback match with all profits going back to the top shooters in divisions with 10 or more shooters.

We will set up all 8 Steel Challenge stages. Total round count is a minimum of 195 rounds.

Those that are shooting the IDPA-SSP division (USPSA Production is comparable) a cover garment is not required. However all other gear requirements apply.

Fridays match will be open squadding and shooting can start as early as 11:00. Saturdays match starts at 8:00.

Lunch is provided for Saturday shooters.

Everything is set to go for the Area 2 Burris Optics Steel Challenge match in Pueblo.

Friday shooters can show up at the range anytime tomorrow as it is open squadding. Just pick a stage and shoot it.

Saturday shooters should plan on being at the range no later than 7:30 to get checked in and ready to shoot by 8:00. Lunch will be delivered around 11:00 and we hope to be done shooting by 2:30 so we can beat the rain.

It might be a little wet and cold tomorrow so dress like you are in Seattle.

Here are the results from the 2015 Burris Optics Area 2 Steel Challenge.

We ran a lot of people through the match in a short period of time. I really appreciate everyones help keeping it running smoothly.

I could not have put this match on without the help of Curtis Brotherston and Charlene Jones. Without these two, this match would not have happened. Please be sure to thank them for all their hard work.

Speaking of, please be sure to send Sky at Burris Optics an email saying thank you for stepping up and sponsoring the match. Burris put almost $5,000 worth of stuff on the prize table with little to no begging on my part. We hope to have them back next year as the main match sponsor but without you saying thanks it won't happen.
