What is lead going for nowadays ? And, is anyone interested in a bunch ?
I have a co- worker that has what he says is 2 large coffee cans and one small coffee can full of melted down lead stripped from MRI machines ( according to his father ) that he has no use for.
If there are anyone that casts their own bullets or has another use for the lead, and is interested, PM me and I can get you connected to my co-worker.

I pay $1.00 a pound for clean lead in the Colorado Springs area. If you have a full can of lead it will be more work to melt it, then pour it out.

Shouldn't this be in the TP ammo / reloading section, once you have all the info?

You could be right, or even in the Non-Firearms section, seeings how it is a couple of big chunks of lead.

Reloading will get more traffic.

What is the lead composition of old (70's) diving belt weights? It's not like I'm going to go diving again any time soon. And...I used some of it for elevator counter-weights for a RV4.

diving weights were often made by scuba shops out of scrap lead, wheel weights, ect. Being that old it's doubtful there is zinc mixed in which is a problem with newer weights.
