I could not believe the amount of trash we cleaned up. My wife walked all over cleaning stuff up. I ran out of trash bags there was so much crap. I would like to get a group of us to go back up and help clean the stuff we couldnt get. Figured we could shoot, bbq, and have a good time.
Ill provide the trash bags... Anyone willing to help out? If so Ill make the plan.

Where?
Right next to cheeseman reservoir. You actually look down on the reservoir. It's a good place to shoot, can push things out far, maybe 1200 or more yards.

Good on you and the Mrs. for putting in the effort and taking care of what you could! This kind of disrespect drives me mad too.

I would be happy to help and bring some bags too if i can shoot a little before. I may have a couple of fire extinguishers / Tv to blow up! (Just kidding)..... Next Sat or Sunday seems wide open for me.
You gotta love the slob shooters

At least we see a good use of Dodge vehicle components.

There's been quite a few threads in the past about range cleanups. While I highly praise our members for what they do at these places.
I sometimes wonder if the dirtbags that contribute to this mess don't just go back in the future and think "great someone else will pick up our trash".
I'm not saying we shouldn't pickup but the next visit after a cleanup is what really pisses me off. [Rant2]

Onky because they actually made it up there. Fords broke down long before getting up the hill and Chevys guys don't get to shoot helping and pulling the ford guys out!
all kidding aside, thanks for helping to pick up after assholes. That truly is BS that these folks do this. I wish there was serious fines that were enforced for essentially dumping trash like that.
Being that kind of a pig is a good way to get a range or public area shut down. Part of my range kit is an empty trash can in my truck. Sadly, it's always easy to pack more out than I pack in.

I used 5 paper targets... And I filled 3 trash bags... Wish I knew who these assholes are.

I'd love to see the spot. 1200 yards sounds fun.
Let me know when you're thinking and I'll come fill some bags up.
We might be able to make it up as well, please post the day and time.

Used to live/work/shoot out there. People assume that if an area isn't visited much they can just make a huge mess. They also try to justify it because of the fact that a fire happened there that they aren't hurting anything. It's ridiculous.

Thanks for cleaning it up! We've taken trucks loads out of Pawnee. Always pisses me off.

I may sound like an asshole on here form time to time, but I fucking despise the jerkoffs that leaves their shit laying all over. I clean up after myself and those with me and take full responsible action for myself.... Kickin ass should be legal

A slob I work with went up near Allenspark and I told him to bring me back his empties. When I came in this morning all I got was " sorry man it was raining and Blah blah blah" and he just left them there. I am pissed. Right now there is a push to restrict shooting in national forest and assholes like this are fucking it up for the rest of us.

I will show up at the next arranged clean up. I took it upon my self to call the ranger station at pine today, and asked if it would be ok to use their dumpsters. Guy said it was ok as long as we let the ranger on duty know. I have a 4 runner and can haul a ton of shit out.

Unfortunately this is the truth... "Someone else will clean it up"... our entitlement society. Very sad state of affairs.
Or the "it's biodegradable!" excuse... Sorry, only in 75+ years (sometimes A LOT LOOOOONGER) IF it's buried correctly, etc.... and maybe I'm an idiot who failed chemistry but a plastic 2 liter bottle isn't just naturally "biodegradable" in a few days sitting out on a grass field...

I always take a rake and a shovel and haul my trash home.
Setting a good example for the boy.
Unfortunately, I've seen worse. Would love to have a cleanup/range day.

I agree. It really sucks and seems like an exercise in futility. I went up to Squaw Pass some time ago, packed out all that would fit in the bed of our Ram 1500 (which still wasn't everything) and 2 weeks later it was trashed again! Awful how the few bad apples ruin it for the rest of us.

Dang, don't think I can make that. I'm hosting some company from out of town that weekend.
Makes me wish I had some old game cams...
Let us know what day is decided. If I can make it I'll bring some grill fare, burgers, dogs, brats, and buns/condiments and a portable grill to cook em up to feed the crew

Isn't that what the Forest Service is supposed to do?
