So as many of you know the Kriss vector is a very unique firearm and it gets attention. Well the I ly down fall I found is the coloring... It's too boring for what the gun is! This thread I'll take you through the cerakote process...

The first step is cleaning and scoring the surfaces with a 320grit paper. Then wipe all surfaces clean and oil free with acetone. Then onces it's clean and clear you can start the punting process...

I was wanting to do something that was as unique and eye catching like the vector it's self! I decided that I was going to use the base black color as the bottom layer and then use some kryptek vinyls over the black.57947

Once the bills were all lined up and in place, I made sure the trigger charging handle and other important parts were taped off I sprayed the top layer... I went with Sniper Grey.

Then after the sniper grey dried I marbled some Hidden White in over top.

Then once both layers were dry enough to handle (24hrs) I peeled the vinyls off. When peeling the vinyls off you have to be careful not to scratch or mar the still curing air dry cerakote.

Then once it was all peeled off and back together It needed a little detail work. I used some enamel paint (Hemi orange) to detail out the makers mark and logo on the gun.5795157952

After the color fill was finished I cover everything with a cerakote clear coat to protect the design.

Obviously had to color fill both sides to make it look finished.
