Does anybody know of a place reasonably near Parker that sells bulk kerosene? As in, bring your own container and fill it up? That stuff used to be easy to find, not anymore!

And no, I'm not interested in the $25/gallon shit at Lowes or Home Depot.

For that matter, I'm up for driving to Castle Rock, Franktown, Elizabeth, Littleton, Englewood, Centennial, etc. You know, 25 miles or so from Parker.

But when you call those places, they don't even know what kerosene is. Went through that with Yelp. Gives you names of all these places, and not a damn one has it.

When you say "bulk", I immediately think a fuel truck delivery (shows how country I am)...
That's what propane companies will probably do...

I know Chief Petroleum in Colorado Springs has it at the pump... don't know on price, and it sounds like that's not the direction you're going

The propane place on old Hampden is closed recently. Fire. It's nowhere near you, but rental place on 26th and Kipling has it. I was on a similar search a few years back. And as you stated the directories are mostly useless. What are you going to use it for? I run low sulpher diesel in my garage heater, bought some real kerosene my wick type heater.

I've heard, Jet A, not much difference, try Centennial Airport. Not sure what your use is so I may be off base, just sayin.

Just for a torpedo heater in the garage for auto work, freezer defrosting, pipe thawing, etc. And I don't need a truckload, just wanna fill a 5 gallon can at a pump. Bulk - as in fill your can at a pump, opposed to buying the overpriced prepackaged gallons.

Like in the good old days.....

We just used to fill em with JETA on the airport for the hangers.

JETA is basically extra-pure kerosene, but I'm sure it's priced accordingly.

If its just for the heater, you will be super happy with diesel. I use it in my cigar shaped thing with a fan and it runs clean. The ultra low sulfur is really rather clean. Or you could cut it with kerosene. Home Depot has a ultra-clean kerosene product that comes in gallon jug for 10-ish dollars. I buy it for parts cleaning. Try the diesel I think you'll be pleased.

Diesel, huh? May just try that. It's not like I use that pig a lot, once every few years. Biggest need I have for it is defrosting the freezer, sometimes. Does it quick.
