Whats everyone's take on making changes to load that you worked up?

If I change primers (while still staying the same type, not switching from regular to magnum, etc)?

If I change bullet brands while still maintaining the same type/weight?

How about when getting in a new batch of powder?

None of my current loads are close to any max, and they are just plinking rounds, so a little accuracy change isn't an issue. I think on the powder batches, I don't see a need. For the bullets, I have made a slight adjustment to OAL 1.125 down to 1.120 to make up for new bullets being slightly shorter than the old bullets, and I did make a small batch of those to test before mass loading, but didn't do a new workup.

I'm thinking if I changed primers, a new workup would be in order since I've heard there can be a pretty good bit of variation between brands.

Primers will make small differences. Bullet brand change is a problem, the bearing surface of the projectile can make huge differences(rework the load). Powder can vary as much as 15% lot to lot (except for some modern powders like 300-MP which was designed with lot to lot consistency in mind)and you should rework the load.

I'd see what the performance is before making any changes. There's been little if any change with the pistol & rifle loads (223) i'm running when going from CCI - winchester. The only time i noticed a difference (pistol) was when i changed to a threaded bbl. Keep in mind i'm not target shooting be it pistol or high power.

If you're just switching primers like you say, and you aren't pushing the top end, you probably won't see much difference. If you're changing 3 things at once, it's worth re-working the load... especially different bullets as 20X11 said.
