Red Rocks? I've never been checked there, or even seen any place to BE checked. I don't think the venue is conducive to effective security checkpoints. It ain't the Poopsi Center.

Denver Parks and Recreation property. "Gun Free" zone. Can't say if they pat you down.
Not worth risking your CHL

I got patted down the last time I went to a concert there. They had people at the top of that walkway and would pat you down when checking your ticket.

No checkie. Rained a little then looked bad so they sped things up.
Not the only one carrying saw several family and friends that always do so we all sat together.

I thought if it's public property (state/county/muni owned), then they can't ban CCW unless they have metal detectors.

But they CAN ban open carry...

I think it more depends on what the event is. I went to a rock concert there and they were doing pat downs and made me take off the chain on my wallet. A friend flew in to see Flogging Molly and there was no pat down, etc. and I joked I could've brought in a bazooka. But I had the same 2 experiences at the Filmore.

I believe it is owned my the city of Denver. No permanent metal detectors. CCW ok. Please correct me if I am wrong.
