Wow. I am currently running Aimpoint Comp M4s on my rifles and have been fond of them but this is really taking it to another level. In addition to surviving the blaze, Aimpoint really made a smart move by picking this one up for their personal displays.

judging by the plastic furniture being relatively intact, I would bet that it did not get too hot. Looks like it was buried in mud ash when the FD was hosing everything down.

+1... That plastic would be gone

^ Exactly. I have seen this spreading like wildfire on the web. Although covered in crap the plastic furniture is still completely intact so it didn't get very hot at all.
