On average when does the snow melt off at 9000 ft alt? I am scoping out some camping sites on some maps.

HA HA HA, not this year...
we live at 9500 and none here but tomorrow maybe a different story.
Right now it's only stuck at 11k or above but at night it's pretty cool.

Based on experience...south facing slopes, generally snow is gone from the ground by May 15th every year. Now, you will still get snow after that, but doesn't stay around long.

Thanks for the info, I will probably head up one of these weekends and scope it out. Hope to do some shooting too!

Mud is the problem right now.

I'm on Conifer Mountain frequently, elev 9351'. As of Fri, there was still well over a foot of snow in some of the sheltered areas. It snowed here in Bailey yesterday and will probably snow again today and Mon. Not enough to stick, but it's still pretty chilly. 30 degs outside right now.

I'm right at 9, and no snow on the ground, but it's still snowing/sleeting/etc just about every day.

8500' here. Some snow in the trees and shaded slopes. Mud is the main problem now.

Try back in July.
