If you'd like to request IP status then send a pm with your info and we will add you to the waiting list. Outside the IP forums we do not allow commercial sales in the TP. You can always ask but getting the go ahead to do so is pretty far and few in between.

Yeah...I've been more of a lurker...you guys seem to keep me entertained so I rarely feel the need to contribute when you guys can provide all the comic relief. And I prefer to glean knowledge from the group rather than adding mall ninja facts or contribute to the latest "the sky is falling" hysteria...

Does the fact that I check coar at least 10 times a day make up for my lack of posts?

Make it twenty and then just maybe......Jk. I Can understand about lurking, did it a while myself. I agree with you about these guys being a riot, this is where I come to get a chuckle or two during the day. Great community here and I'm damn proud to be here.

I agree with the above wholeheartedly. Thing is, this is a Discussion Forum. It gets its value from folks participating. While having a Trading Post and Industry Partner section are really nice to have, their value is secondary.

While lurking is beneficial to the individual doing the lurking, it doesn't provide value to the site as a whole. Nor does it allow other members to get to know anything about you. No one gets a chance to establish bonds or trust in who you are. This is important in a community-based (albeit statewide community) group like we have here. It's even more important to someone who wishes to present their business to this community. Especially in firearms businesses, people need to feel that they know and can trust those they're considering doing business with. Unfortunately, this can't happen without active site participation. This is one of the main reasons we require active participation from our Industry Partners or those allowed the occasional commercial advertisement.

I hope this provides more clarity to the requirement.

yep. I totally agree and I appreciate you breaking it down. I'll do better to post more irreverent yo momma jokes and contribute a few pieces of knowledge where I can.

Are there different levels for Industry Partners?

I don't think I'm at the point where I'd ever have enough to offer with my own forum area, but every once and a while I find a good deal I'd love to be able to offer the folks on the board, but if it's not clearly a private sale, I just skip it.

No, just 1 level.
