Mother said if I didn't have anything nice to say.....

that said, no parent should outlive their child.

Kids should never die before their parents. It's really a shame this wasn't the case this time

Veteran. Bronze Star recipient.

I don't care whose kid he was or what his politics were. He deserves our respect.

And by 'respect', I mean any mention of his father or politics when commenting on his passing is distasteful.

Rest in peace, Beau Biden. Thank you for your service.

Always tough when kids die first, I assumed that I would one day take care of my parents if they need it.

Well said. I've lost family to brain cancer. I don't care what your political leanings are, no one deserves this.

I did not respect him as a politician, but he has certainly earned my respect as a soldier.

I, too, have watched the horrifying effects of brain cancer on others. It is one of the worst ways to live and die. No one should have to suffer such a disease.

Rest in peace soldier. Your efforts here are complete.

It is always sad and tragic when someone has to bury their child, for whatever reason. I send my condolences to the Biden family.

That said, I don't believe I've ever heard of Beau Biden before. My first thought when I saw this thread title was that the OP was confused and meant the president's dog... I'm pretty sure his name is Beau too.

He gave up a chance to run for Senate so that he could convict a pedo. Rest in Piece.

When I first heard the news this weekend, I was thinking of the VP's OTHER son, the good-for-nothing druggie. Seems like Beau had his head screwed on straight despite his patrilineal heritage. Either way, it's sad when a parent has to bury a child and brain cancer is a horrible way to go.

There is no "good" way to lose a family member. Situations such as this are outside of politics. RIP.
