Yeah, they've been talking bout this since at least last December. I've been on the lookout since then. Seem to recall they were estimating a summer release. Wonder if that will change with the military saying they are not interested. I also read somewhere that they jumped from M9a1 to M9a3 to leave the a2 designation for a1's to be upgraded with some of the a3 mods.

Looks bad ass, hope they make it in black.
I've always been curious about the open slide design. Other than weight reduction, are there any advantages? Does it tend to collect more dirt than a closed slide design?
The M9A3 is shipping. Davidsons has them on allocation. MSRP is $1100. Comes in an ammo can.

Thanks. The price is a bit more than I was hoping it was going to be. Not sure I want one that bad. Lol.
I might have have to check it out for giggles and grins. I'm curious about the ammo can thing.
Ammo can looks like plastic and is in fde. I'm with you wrt the price. I'm saving my pennies while I wait for a chance to get my hands on one. Thinking if I really like it I should be able to pick one up at about $950 to $975. Not sure it's really worth that much more than a M9A1.

At 1100$ I would go with the m9a1 for 600$. Beretta always seems to over price there guns and wonder why no one buys them.
got a chance to shoot one this weekend pretty nice!!!! shot well, but disappointed the sights did not clear the suppressor.
