My whole family was in Longmont at my kids baseball game when they spotted the funnel cloud. It was actually horizontal at first then the game got cancelled. While they were driving home they saw it touch down.

I was in Longmont having a pint or two with friends when the shit hit the fan. I live SE of Carter Lake and after several detours I got home after spending close to an hour trying to do a 25min trip. The little Thompson River is running over LCR23 and County Line, had to back track to Yellowstone, head east then north. I couldn't see more 75-100yds but just south of LCR21 and County line there was twisted sheet metal from a roof (Barn or Shed ) in the ditch and along the road, Power line poles were snapped off, LE, Fire and news trucks allover the place. Get to my road, barrow ditches are full, water running down the road, get home yard has a lot of hail in it but it's small and trees aren't stripped of their leaves. My rain gauge is showing 3.6", still raining, have thunder and a light show. This all took place in about 2.5hrs.

All good in Jtown. Bought 14 rolls of sod before the rain couldnt waste it so I got to play in the mud.

I'm lucky to have missed it. I commute between Niwot and Fort Collins daily, going up 287. I was just about to reach the southern part of Loveland when the emergency notice on the radio said a twister had touched down. I must have missed it by 15min or so at most.
