He's just checking out the "underground crime" we always hear about.
Apparently there's an Englewood sewer line that's broken. The sinkhole continues to grow.
The police want the gas line shut down, but Xcel is hesitant to do so because of the extent of the outage it would cause.
Has anyone connected this and the Co Blvd sink hole to Global Warming, er, I mean Climate Change yet?

Glad he is ok. That's a shitty way to end a shift.

I was going to, but I used that joke in another thread with zero response so I passed this time. :)

This is one is the sewer line taking dirt downstream, not leaking out. We have ways to support the gas line while we dig up the repair, but not if the hole gets too big before we start digging.
Another sad example of the administration undermining the police.
I'm sure that gave the police a hole new outlook on the area.
Just before the accident, he had a sinking feeling that things just weren't right.
He should have paid attention when the billboard along side the road read:

Now that's the joke I was trying to come up with when I gave that lame one earlier. Well played.

Oh Chuck, those were as bad as mine.

A buddy of mine is convinced he got radar'd by that cop minutes before the incident occurred. He was on his way back from the car wash, heading toward where the sinkhole opened up (actually passed over it) and his radar detector lit up. The reports say it happened like 3 minutes after.
