Looking for a gunsmith to go thru this and make it operational. Took it out today and it did not fire and actually kind of jammed up. Not sure what is wrong.

JC Higgins made for Sears, Roebuck and company. Model # 44 DL, supposed to be a Marlin Model #57 Levermatic. Has Nickel Lever

No help on gunsmiths in the Springs from me.

Have you been through the rimfirecentral.com forum for Marlin lever actions? Complete disassembly, fully cleaned and lubed?
