Might be good for shooting trees.

If you're going to use cartridges for hunting, put them in a suitable firearm.

Shooting trees is irresponsible.

Now, property invaders, that's a different story.

Used for alligators where you are required to use spear, arrow, or bolt to kill them.

I wondered why it wasn't designed around a bigger round. Why is .357 the biggest round?

Also wonder how well it would be for hog hunting.

They make .44 mag and 12 ga ones. Not practical for hogs on an arrow or bolt due to the heavy weight out front not allow stable arrow flight. On a spear though, a bit to the face or side of head is devastating. Great for spearfishing larger fish as well.

Why use a .357, when all you have to do is roar at things for them to blow up?

seems like it wouldn't have any power since the chamber and barrel are needed to build and direct the energy.......

I believe that's true of traditional 'bang sticks'/powerheads. They have some case support and a short barrel to direct the projectile/gas forward.
