Looking for a place to take the travel trailer for quick weekend trips. Don't really care for the whole Griswold camping sites with city neighbors, nothing personal. I save those trips for the kiddos. I have a generator and will travel! Looking for a place near a lake, river or stream. Would like to go for a hike or something like that. I like going to areas near Kremmling, but that road is all tore up.

How far are you willing to travel?
My family goesnt to Taylor Park every year. That's our favorite spot with open camping, no signal, shooting, ATVs, fishing, etc

Thanks kwando, I'll Google it. Sounds like my kind of spot! I'm willing to travel and try something new.
Sent from my ultra conservative tracking device.
Motel 6 is about the closest I get to camping anymore.....

Deep Lake in White River National Forest. We go there every year. Stocked lake but you can 4x4 out to the river and catch some big Rainbows and Browns. If you don't want neighbors there are tons of lakes in that area you can camp at though most freeze over in the Winter (shallow) and don't have fish.

I will check it out. We are taking the kids to see my folks in Flagstaff AZ at the end of July and we are going to camp on our way down. This place looks nice. Thanks for the info!

White Star campground near twin lakes colorado. Calm place, with a lot of fun things to do. As long as you do not use your generator all night....Please?

Taking the advise for Taylor Park. Got a trailer rented for the wife and dogs. Leaving a week from Thursday and staying through Monday. Looking forward to the fun times.

If it's a small trailer go back far into the woods on Texas Creek. You won't see anyone for days! There is a nice open spot next to a small creek and a pond. Now that family has rather large trailers we can't navigate that far in anymore. That is the best tent camping I've been. When I was there middle of July it got into the 30s overnight (snowed at Cottonwood pass) so plan accordingly.
Miracle Mile, WY. Worth the drive, plenty of free camp spots along the river.
